Is Plot Spot really free?
Yes. Every chapter of every story is free to read. There is nothing to buy and no point where a story locks.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Open the site in any web browser and start reading. There’s no sign-up, no password and nothing to install.
How do the chapters work?
Each story is split into chapters that take a few minutes to read. Start at Chapter 1, and when you reach the end of a chapter, tap the “next chapter” link at the bottom of the page to keep going.
How do I find my place again?
Go to the stories page, pick your story and choose the chapter you were on. Many readers bookmark the chapter in their browser. If you’re on the newsletter, the email for each new chapter links straight to it.
Can I read on my phone or my computer?
Both. Plot Spot is designed for phones first, and it works just as well on a tablet, laptop or desktop.
Is there a newsletter?
Yes. Our newsletter page is where you’ll find it, and sign-ups are opening very soon. Once you join, you’ll hear about new chapters and new stories first. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one tap takes you off the list.
Why do I see ads?
Sites like this may show ads to stay free. Ads help pay for writing and editing the stories and for keeping the site running.
Can I share a story?
Please do. Send the link to a friend or post it on social media. We only ask that you share the link rather than copying the text of a story.
How do I report a problem?
Use our contact page. Tell us the story name, the chapter, and what went wrong, and we’ll look into it.
Who writes the stories?
Every story on Plot Spot is original fiction, written and edited for the site.
